President of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov took part at the joint session of both Chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. He called the initiatives of Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Russia stated in his Nation Address very important and timely.   According to Arsen Kanokov the core of the document is the identification of priorities, analysis of the most important issues in the life of the country. "This address completely tackles this task. The Head of the country highlighted all main problems of today. They are as follows: the danger of the "unilateral" world, threatens of the world crisis, strengthening of democratic Institutions in our country.

"I think that measures the President was speaking about on the increase of the level and quality of public representation in government is not just timely but quite urgent. The same refers to the question of extension of the President's term in office and the State Duma's mandate. We have a big country and extension of the term will contribute to a more stable and progressive development will increase the quality of the government system. Besides, I am sure it will guarantee stability in the Caucasus"  

Arsen Kanokov noted that a number of other important questions were touched upon in the Address. In particular, the President of Russia spoke about inefficiency of many federal bodies of the executive branch, which the President of KBR repeatedly drew attention to. Another question the President of Russia broached is the programme of building up a human resources pool. "This problem is really urgent for many regions of our country, our republic including. We have already launched a programme of training specialists, we send our talented students to study at best business schools of the world. That is why it is especially gratifying that these problems are discussed on such a high level" - Arsen Kanokov said.
