The final day of the festival "Student Spring on the Caucasus" held in Kabardino-Balkaria, began with the parade of many thousands of young people along the main avenue of Nalchik.

Delegates from Adygeya, Karachai-Circassia, Ingushetia, Dagestan, Kalmykia, Chechen Republic, North Ossetia-Alania, Astrakhan and Rostov Regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol Districts marched from the Square of 400-th anniversary to the Zeleny Theatre. They were dressed in their national costumes, carrying flags and banners. The final Gala Concert will be held in the Zeleny Theatre - the largest open theatre of the North Caucasus.  

On behalf of the KBR President Arsen Kanokov the Deputy Prime Minister and the chairperson of the Festival organizing committee Madina Dyshekova made a Salutatory address. 

The Address specifies: "I am glad that the festival has revived on the year of the youth and is being held during the festive days of the State Holiday - the Day of Russia. Your festival has been for many years held in Kabardino-Balkaria. We take it as a sign of deep confidence in the organizers of the festival and our republic. Composition of the participants and the number of Universities are constantly increasing, but the international atmosphere, the spirit of friendship and brotherhood reigning at the festival remains the same. The festival breeds a lot of creative ideas and positive emotions. There are neither winners nor losers. Participation at the festival is a high level of creative advancement in itself".

Best numbers from the programmes of all participants were performed at the Gala Concert. The festivities will proceed on the Abkhasia Square with fireworks. 

   Interregional festival "Student Spring on the Caucasus" was opened on May 10, 2009 after nine years break at the Musical Theatre in Nalchik. A concert of the best singers and dancers of the Higher Educational Institutions of the republic was performed for the guests. A festive opening and a show of competitive programme was held on May 11. The participants showed their craftsmanship in four nominations: "Theatre", "Music", "Choreography", and "Original Genre". Founders and organizers of the festival are the RF Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Affairs, All-Russia public organization "Russian Youth Union", the Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of work with public associations and on youth policy, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of culture, Kabardino-Balkarian State University and Kabardino-Balkarian Agricultural Academy.  The event is an official interregional Festival of the Programme of support and development of the Student creative work "Russian Student Spring". The objective of the event is consolidation of the youth of the South Federal District and establishing interethnic harmony.
