On the eve of the National Unity Day president of KBR Arsen Kanokov awarded workers of various branches of economy and other spheres state awards of the Russian Federation and Kabardino-Balkaria.

Opening the solemn ceremony, the head of the republic said: “People who deserved awards by their conscientious work, talent and high civil activity are in the audience chamber today”. Many of them work in the sphere of material production. It is considerably thanks to them that the economy of the republic is actively developing. “This year growth of industrial output has been 104,5 % in comparison with the last year level. Quite a number of investment projects aimed at modernization and reconstruction of our enterprises has been realized. A number of new productions have been launched. Positive changes have been marked in Agro-Industrial Complex. Experience of the land economic management is improved, new intensive technologies in vegetable growing and gardening are introduced, and large and modern stock-raising complexes are created. These and other measures will urge our economy”. Arsen Kanokov also spoke about positive tendencies in other important spheres of life – culture, education, and healthcare.

The president congratulated the participants of the ceremony on the National Unity Day, thanked the recipients of awards for their worthy contribution to the strengthening the republican potential, peace and concord in the society, active life position and began the pleasant ceremony of awarding.

The recipients of The Order of Merit for the Fatherland (II Grade) are: coach-teacher of the republican specialized children and juvenile sports school of the Olympic reserves on wrestling Anzor Kardanov, console operator of Ltd “Cherek - 1” Yuri Efendiev, head of the department of the RF Ministry of Justice in KBR Andrey Tupikin, choirmaster of Cherek House of culture Anzor Ul’bashev.

A teacher of comprehensive school № 1 of the village of Verkhnyaya Balkaria Adil Temukuev was awarded the title “Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation”. 15 citizens of Kabardino-Balkaria got letters of commendation of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. Soloists of folk-ethnographic ensembles “Balkaria” and “Bjamy” of the State Musical theatre Alim Gazaev and Olga Sokurova, a soloist of the Musical theatre Alim Kunizhev, an actor of the Kabardian State Drama Theatre Boris Kazharov have become  People's Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria. 35 citizens of KBR have become honored actors, doctors, builders, economists, lawyers, men of science, educators, social workers, cultural figures, industrial workers, and workers of the services sector of the republic.

Andrey Tupikin thanked the president for the high appreciation of his work and in his turn congratulated Arsen Kanokov on The Order of Merit for the Fatherland (IV Grade): “This award marks your absolute merits for the contribution into the consolidation of the Russian statehood, development and wellbeing of the region, preservation of political and economic stability, international consent”.

Anzor Ulbashev invited the head of the republic to visit Cherek District oftener. Alim Kunihzev marked the significance of the fact that a group of cultural figures was awarded and that the republican administration pays special attention to this sphere. “Much is done in this direction – theatres are being reconstructed, theatres and studious get transport, salary is planned to be increased. We see your efforts to improve the life of people”.

Closing the meeting the head of KBR thanked for the congratulations and said that it was not his personal merits that were appreciated but the merits of all people of the republic. He emphasized that much has been done lately, but a lot is ahead. “We have got a lot of problems to solve, but they all can be solved. We just have to take a calm and rational approach. What is important is protection.  With the active help of the federal center we shall develop our economy. I think such a support will allow us to catch up with average federal standard in terms of population scale of living along with budget sphere salary. But for the crisis we would have done it earlier”.

At the end of the meeting the recipients of the awards had their pictures taken with the president.
